Barak is my 2nd instrumental recording. The cd takes a journey through a diverse musical landscape of latin, folk, celtic and middle eastern genres. The instrumentation is all acoustic featuring Spanish guitar, double bass, clarinet, violin, mandolin and a wide range of percussion instruments. Violinist Matisse Schubert makes a master cameo on the joyful vamp 'Ella's Dance', a lovely musical question and answer conversation develops between the guitar and violin while the dble bass holds down a catchy quarter note groove. The song 'Taken' starts as a dreamy minor ballad before taking flight with a fury of flamenco rhythms. To compliment the fiery flamenco tracks are some tender ballads with memorable melody's.

During the two months of recording time of the cd I had a complete information/media fast, I wanted to unclutter my mind. To avoid others informing me of what was going on in the world I placed a sign on my studio door, it read... 'Warning I am information fasting, please do not tell me anything you think I may not know'.
